What was the most memorable part of your Foundation-funded project or experience as a Foundation awardee?

I enjoyed the scholars meeting that took place annually. We had phenomenal mentoring and got to hear about the awardees' work.

If you received funding for a research project, are you still involved in that area of research?

No.

How did the award influence your career?

When I had to leave academics for family reasons, the platform that the award gave me for national recognition made me desirable to several area MFM groups.

What lessons (e.g., personal, professional, life, etc.) did you learn that you would like to pass on to future awardees?

Do not be afraid to ask for guidance of the SMFM/AAOGF leaders. Do not be afraid to take a chance on what they recommend for future lines of work or even in the current project.

Did you submit an abstract for #SMFM20?

No.

Where did you do your MFM fellowship?

Yale University.

What do you like best about being an MFM?

My ability to balance the mother and the fetus.

What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?

I would like to ideally go back to an academic institution now that my children are older.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!

I can play 5 musical instruments!
