What was the most memorable part of your Foundation-funded project or experience as a Foundation awardee?

Going around the SMFM meeting with my mentor was an incredible opportunity -- it was a wonderful experience to meet so many leaders in the field. What was remarkable was how approachable everyone was -- it is like they were all cheering me on for my own success!

Tell us more about what you're currently working on.

I am the associate fellowship director for the MFM fellowship at Tufts. I am working on building my skills in medical education/administration. I have received institutional sponsorship to attend leadership development programs.

How did the award influence your career?

I have taken an active role in mentoring residents and fellows at my institution. It is rewarding to watch these trainees grow into themselves as clinicians and leaders.

What lessons (e.g., personal, professional, life, etc.) did you learn that you would like to pass on to future awardees?

Follow your passion. You may discover that your interests change over your career -- and that's ok! Life is too short and time is precious -- so do what makes you happy.

Did you submit an abstract for #SMFM20?

No.

Where did you do your MFM fellowship?

Tufts Medical Center.

What do you like best about being an MFM?

The complexity of each patient; the variety of my day (PUBS, CVS, cesarean section, counseling on peri-viability, etc). I love that every day I am learning something new.

What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?

I would like to be an MFM fellowship director.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!

I love cooking and each week make a new dish to challenge myself. I think my family enjoys being the taste-testers (usually).
